About Us

Greg earned his BS in Electrical Engineering in 2008 from Purdue University and later went back to earn a Master’s in Electrical Engineering in 2022.

In 2012 he joined the US Marine Corps and served as an artillery officer in various positions including a forward observer and a platoon commander of a rocket battery.

Greg has been lifting weights for over 25 years and has competed in a handful of powerlifting meets.

These days, he enjoys spending the winters getting strong in the home gym, and then promptly undoing all of his gains every summer with a mix of running, swimming, biking, and hiking. Despite the vicious cycle, he has maintained a powerlifting total over 1000 lbs while completing an Ironman, summitting Mount Whitney, working full time as an engineer, raising 2 tough kids, and traveling the world with Miri. 

Greg also enjoys flying airplanes, riding motorcycles, photography, snowboarding, SCUBA diving, and getting his limbs periodically ripped off in jiu jitsu.

Miri earned her Bachelor degree in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics at the University of Tyler in 2014, and then earned her PhD in Organic Chemistry at Purdue University in 2020. She simultaneously earned an MBA from Purdue Global.

She now works on developing medicines to cure the most prevalent diseases in the world. 

Miri served in the US Army from 2012 to 2018 and did a combat deployment to Iraq in 2015. This is where she got into lifting – by picking up sizzling hot barbells in the desert heat.

Miri has been an athlete for over a decade. She is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has competed and medaled at every level, including competing in the United World Wrestling Grappling championships in Kazakhstan, where she brought home bronze for Team USA.

Lifting weights is at the core of Miri’s training for everything else. She has been lifting for the last 12 years, and has competed in a number of powerlifting meets.

These days her focus is on extreme endurance events, setting her sights on any new challenge she can get her hands on and tackling each new suffer-fest with her partner, Greg.

She is also a professional adventurer and enjoys riding her motorcycle, pole dancing, flying airplanes, SCUBA diving, snowboarding, rock climbing, and any other wild thing she can find.

The kids love the outdoors, where they enjoy running, biking, swimming, hiking, and looking for sticks.  In the last two years they’ve run ten 5k races and hiked and biked more miles than they can count. They are some tough little buggers.

They love working out in the home gym, where they’re learning how to get big and strong. 

Around the shop, they like watching the printers, drawing on things, and helping us make a mess.
